I’m Making my Comeback

2015 has not been my year to shine. Some of this I have told before, but this is just my recap story; short and sweet. We started out the New Year finding out I was pregnant. We were excited. Our 5th child. Unfortunately, that was not meant to be. Just 4 weeks later I began to feel stomach pain. At first the nurses said it was probably not a big deal and I kind of ignored it. It kept occurring though and I began to get nervous for my unborn child. I went in and the ultrasound showed nothing. No baby growing happily in my tummy, just lots of gray matter. I was then sent to the ER and informed I needed to do surgery because my baby had developed in the Fallopian tube. I had surgery and got the baby removed, but they couldn’t stop the bleeding and had to remove my right tube in the process. That was the beginning of February.

That’s when I kind of lost all desire to make posts or care about much of anything. Fast forward a couple months later and I decided I needed to get out of the house so I got a job. I started Dollar General on April 27 and have been there ever since. Then came May. We got our first house together. We went from a strictly 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house to a 6 bedroom 3 bathroom house. Double stall garage so one of us (Josh) didn’t have to park outside anymore! After that I just dealt with getting over the baby and working all the time. We had a period where two people quit about the same time and we were very short staffed and I was putting in almost 40 hours a week. That was exhausting. I’ve also faced some other personal battles during these past few months, but I don’t need to air all my dirty laundry on the internet.

Now it’s December and as you can tell, I’ve began to post more again. I’m sharing coupons and deals. Like one of my favorite coupons. The $2/1 Huggies diapers.

$2.00 off any one package of HUGGIES Diapers

I’ve renewed my site and I plan on bringing all my deals back. I may be off to a slow start in the beginning, just because I’ve been away for so long, but I’m excited to get back into it and I can’t want to help you all save money again! I appreciate all of my loyal followers who never gave up on me and have stuck around and I want to say welcome to all my new followers who join my page. 2016 is going to be great and you’re all going to watch me thrive and survive. Remember, if you ever come across any deals you want to share, never hesitate to share them with me so I can share them with everyone else too.

Thanks for 2015, but good riddance. Here’s to one hell of a year under my belt with a great year ahead. 🙂

  • I heard Target is offering 10% off up to $300 in Target gift cards in store and online on Sunday, Dec. 20. The gift cards won’t be activated until Dec. 21. You can then use the cards throughout the year or you can buy other gift cards on them (like Disney) and get the 5% Red Card discount. Just have to remember not to pay for the entire purchase with gift cards or you won’t get the 5% Red Card discount, so be strategic about the gift card denominations.

  • My heart goes out to you. I have had 2 miscarriages the last 18 months and am now expecting our fourth child and have been told he has a rare genetic abnormality and will nonsurvive outside the womb.
I am glad you are back. Between being tired, working full time, and not having your site for “deals” my grocery budget has DEFINATELY slipped. Your site is the most accurate for my area. I appreciate all your work.

    • I’m so sorry you have to go through that. My heart goes to you as well. Thanks so much for following me. I’m super excited to be back! Bless you. <3
