I like to make posts about my life occasionally, just because I want people, I want you, to be able to relate to me. To be able to feel like I am just another person you’d pass on the sidewalk downtown and say hello to. In all reality I am, if you live in Orange City. 🙂 I make posts…Read More
Our household consists of four children: a 10-year-old boy, two 6 1/2-year-old girls and a 19 month old little boy. I almost assumed that our 10-year-old had decided he was too old for the hunts, but all of my kids are pretty smart, they never pass up the opportunity for FREE, no matter what it is, and an egg hunt…Read More
I can’t say that I have a favorite holiday, but I do enjoy fun projects that have an end result of eating. 🙂 It seems like everyone loves rice krispies treats, as if it’s just a law of the land, and I’m okay with that. I’ve come across this idea for a while, seeing it on TV, pinterest and even…Read More
I don’t want to say Alfredo sauce is a staple in our household, but it is something our family enjoys plenty of. We of course use it as a pasta sauce instead of the traditional red sauce, but I actually make two different pizzas from scratch that call for Alfredo sauce; my homemade chicken broccoli Alfredo and my specialty homemade…Read More

A company decided to post an ad for a job with the title “Director of Operations”.
Although it turned out to be a prank, no one knew until the end.
There was a pretty intense list of requirements for the position:
• Standing up almost all the time
• Constantly exerting yourself
• Working from 135 to unlimited hours per week
• Degrees in medicine, finance and culinary arts necessary
• No vacations
• The work load goes up on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and other holidays
• No time to sleep
• Salary = $0
Although the ad received attention from 2.7 million, only 24 people inquired. They interviewed via webcam, and their real-time reactions were captured on video.
Make sure to watch the video until the end. It will definitely hit home.
Just recently, the Old Factory Coffee Shop has undergone some changes. Here’s the announcement released on their Facebook page. If the Old Factory Coffee Shop were a cup of coffee, Richard and Rola would be the pour-over that filled the mug. For quite awhile, we have been wrapping our palms around that glorious cup–filling our hearts with the rich, full-body…Read More
If I’m ever in the mood to take a meal that I know everyone in the family will eat, corn dogs is positively at the top of the list! Sometimes, I do purchase a box from the store, but the prices are just so insane anymore for anything that we don’t get them very often. For this reason, I looked…Read More

If you’ve answered yes to this question…this post is for you! Rain Check /ˈrānˌCHek/ noun: A coupon issued to a customer by a…Read More
Sometimes our kids prefer to take a cold lunch and that’s OKAY. (Who can blame them with the latest “healthy lunch” plans that have gone into action?) What’s not okay is when you take your kids to the store to pick out things for their lunches and they decide they want Smucker’s Uncrustable sandwiches. I have nothing against the product,…Read More
